Sam Rushton is an artist based in Yorkshire interested in community art and getting people together.
Biography
After working at places like the BBC and British Council, Sam has been working as an artist back in his hometown of Burnley, as well as other places across the North, making art alongside people who live up here. When growing up, Sam would often go to places like Southport or Blackpool in the middle of winter and make sandcastles. Although it wasn't that warm, the sound of the waves and the quiet of the beach made making things on the beach quite relaxing - he hopes to share this experience with visitors to this years ArtWaves Festival and looks forward to seeing what you come up with.
