Join returning award winning artist Catherine Inglis in a four hour workshop exploring Puffins in pastel.
Tips and tricks will be given throughout to understand the types of pastels to use, importance of using tonal values, colour selection and various pastel techniques to help you produce a fantastic masterpiece.
Inspired by the puffins that reside on the nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs. You will be taught the various techniques and skills used to create a wonderful Puffin(s) in habitat.
What you need to bring with you:
It is important to bring good, clear, reference photographs to work from i.e. Good light on the subject, preferably not to have been taken with flash.
Soft pastels but not any oil pastels
A board to take an A 3 size paper at least!
An easel, table or free standing
An old tea towel for keeping the hands clean
An old oil painting brush and a rubber (to get rid of any mistakes, pastel is very forgiving)
NOTES: On the day if required, there will be the opportunity to purchase at a very competitive price: Individual Unison Pastels in a large colour range as well as Unison Pastels Sets.
